On October 15, 2012 Google announced that, their new update to the developer’s console. This new update is available for the all users. New console will allow the developers to see how their app is doing on Google play by showing average rating, active installs and detailed report on developer’s apps.
Previously developers are spending a lot of time in developer’s console. This new console will give a chance for developers to deliver a better android app with its great tools such as streamlined publishing flow, new user rating statistics and new language options.
This Developers Console is bright and easy to find your way using navigation and search. It loads your app fast even if you have lot of app. This has the major functionalities, you will see new inter face when you go to the developers console and click on “try the new version”.
As well as this new console also provide you the detailed report for track your app success. This page will show you the increase or decrease of the user rating. It will also show you the detailed rating by device, country, language, carrier, Android version and app version. That graph will look like:
Other changes in developers console include a streamlined app publishing process. This will allow the developers to build great app and starts with by app name or APK. This wills you to save the app before have all information. It will also have the list of differences between the old and new versions, so developers don’t miss it.
Comes in to the language support, it will allows the developers to publish app in 49 languages. If you have saved any changes to your application in new developer Console, your user have the option of viewing due to Google now publishing Google translate to both the mobile and web versions. It will be available soon on mobile.
If you want to try this new version simply go to you developers Console and click on “try the new version” in the header. Also there are few downsides in the new developer’s console due to this new version doesn’t support the following advanced features: APK Expansion Files, APK support and announcements. If you want to jump to use this features, you can click “Switch back” in the header at any time.
