Google added a new feature that enables you to apply labels to Ad groups, campaigns and Ads in addition to the keywords, in DoubleClick search. This DoubleClick search helps you to manage and report on keywords outside the traditional campaigns. Now this additional feature gives power you to ride on Ads. Also this will allow you to add multiple labels to one object for flexibility.
You can create the labels, by clicking the Create label in the left nav. After creating needed label s, you can able to apply them in to Ad groups, campaign, keywords and Ads by searching page, that have Ad groups, Keywords, campaign, and Ad which you want to add.
In the reporting table select the check boxes next to the object you want a label applied to. Next in the tool bar which placed above the table, click Label. It will displace you a panel where you can select a label appears. Next select the label you want to apply to the object, click Apply. This label name will appear in the <object> Labels column. If you want to apply more objects repeat this process.
After completion of the label applied, you can able to see the report status for the label also show you broken out by object type and Stat breakdown for the all objects in the label. You can also filter the label for your flexibility.
As per the company blog “Labels support multi-level inheritance. For example, when you apply a label to a campaign, DS will also apply the label to the ad groups in the campaign, as well as to the keywords and ads in the ad groups. DS will also automatically add new keywords, ads, and ad groups in the campaign to the label, and they will appear in all reports and filters that use the label.”
If you want to see the labels that you’re directly applied to object, select the existing labels column. In the all label columns include information about those are inherited and directly applied.
