Google has been launching big updates for its major apps with the release of latest version of Android, Lollipop.
Google Maps has a new style “bold colors and textures”.
Now when you open up Google Maps on your Android or iPhone, you’ll be greeted by bright colors and a fresh new design
Evelyn Kim designer says “This new look is all about creating surfaces and shadows that echo the real world; with Google Maps’ new material feel, layers and buttons come to life so you know just where to touch to get directions, recommendations and imagery,”
When the user taps a place’s information at the bottom of the screen, a layer will glide up, and display pictures, reviews, etc. The Explore feature appears at the bottom of the map.
