Google added the explanations in the searches. This people also search for is appears as a part of its Knowledge graph on search result page. This knowledge is designed to know the new information easily.
If you are searching for author “Herman Melville”, you can able to see the “people also search for” Nathaniel Hawtorne, Mark Twain etc. For this type of the searches when you mouse over on the result or click the thumbnail, and see the explanation about, why they are connected directly to the main subject of the Knowledge Graph result.
As per the Google’s blog” Search is a lot about discovery, and the Knowledge Graph, our map of real-world people, places and things, is designed to help you find new information easily”.
Google engineer Golan Pundak says” Have you ever flipped through the ‘People also search for” section of the Knowledge Graph panels and wondered — just how are those two people connected anyway? People had fun with our Bacon Number calculator, which revealed some, often surprising, connections, and now we’re taking it one step further”
Google is telling, they are starting this by showing co-starring roles between actors, movies and TV shows, and highlighting family connections amongst famous people.
“These connections won’t show up all the time, but when there is an interesting explanation available, you can now see it at a glance just by mousing over or clicking,” says Pundak.
