Facebook currently having 1billion monthly active users and new sign ups every day. We can’t imagine that world without Facebook. To help those people who are using Facebook from get-go and possibly avoid any future privacy quagmires. Company is now including new privacy course into its new user tutorial. This feature will appear for most new users around world from November 2, 2012 onwards.
Company says in Facebook privacy blog:
“We’ve implemented these enhancements as part of our broader effort to integrate more privacy education into the new user experience. We appreciate the guidance on this effort that we’ve received from the Irish Data Protection Commissioner’s Office, the regulatory oversight agency for our services outside of the United States and Canada.”
New users get the detailed information about access to their data, Tagging people and things Default settings, How to interact with applications, games and websites, finding friends on the Facebook through search and contact importers, how ads work on the site, selecting an audience for information shared on Timeline.
They have also added the inline privacy controls to the new user, so the people can select an audience for their college/university, high school and Employer.
