On October 2, 2012, Facebook is announced that new launching of redesigned Help center and international availability of the support Dashboard. These two designs are help to users of the Facebook to find the information and get the answers to their questions about the social network policies and products. This new updated have new design and layout for the Help Center home page, improved navigation.
As per the Facebook this redesigned Help Center home page has six major features, including “See what new on Facebook”. It is links to products and overview of new features. Additional topics can be found along with navigation on the left.
Most noticeable change in the newly redesigned Help center is, its simplified layout with major six feature topics,” learn the privacy basics, see what’s new on Facebook, report on issues, learn more about timeline review our safety resources and discover game & apps”. It will show the topics in personalized based on how they are using the Facebook. Other topics are include the suggestions like “Learn the privacy Basics”, which gives information about how to control works and sharing in Facebook.
Now the help center also have the information like most popular questions, facebook tips or known issues on Facebook.
Left hand side of the help center, Facebook has introduced new sidebar which gives various sections with security, privacy, timeline, connecting , managing a page, report something, community forum and so on. Some of these topics are appeared in the previous help center also but in this new design, additional topics are added.
As per the Facebook, if you submitted a new report on the content violating it is hard to know when it was being addressed. But now with the new Support Dashboard, whenever you submit the report, you will get notified when you report has been reviewed. You can check the status of what actions are being taking.
Facebook first launched the Support Dashboard in April, which allowing the users to check whether their report had been reviewed or not. This new support dashboard gives feeling to the users that Face book is listing and caring about resolving their problems.
This Support Dashboard and redesigned Help center are available worldwide and live from October 2, 2012.
