15 SEO Elements
In the past Google said that it incorporates hundreds of parameters into its algorithm for ranking (Ann Smarty wrote a post, trying to identify as many as she could here on SEJ). The 15 on-page SEO elements can be used to different degrees & effects and that we have 100 percent control of.
1) Website Content
For a success SEO campaign content is the important one. When you create a single page or more than three page in website and it will rank well. But you create a quality content and it will generate a links natural.
2) Canonicalization
Link will equally split up among multiple pages and that have the content as same. This is one of the SEO elements that we have the complete control of and should keep an eye always on. In 301 redirect their non-www site homepage redirect to the www and it will increase their site ranking.
3) Title Tags
The title tags should be within 70 characters. Darren Slatten has a case study, in that he proves that Google may actually utilize the size of pixel instead of character limits. The most important is that your title should be unique and quality title tags that support the content on the page.
4) URL Structure
Using dynamic URLs not a good idea to make Google work harder. Use static URLs.
5) Internal Linking
If Internal Linking and Site Architecture are done correctly, then you can see some major changes in the ranking of your site. If done poorly or not fixed, you need to overwork in other areas of SEO, such as link building.
6) Site Architecture/Navigation
Siloing content on a website can add a lot of value. Not only you can internally link appropriately, but every inbound link acquired helps the entire silo out, not just that particular page.
7) Recurring Content
Recurring content is more important in modern SEO campaigns. Recurring content also help you to get rank for long-tail keywords, but it also gives opportunities to found socially and acquisition of “natural” links.
8) Site Speed Optimization
Google announced in the past that it will give website fast loading time in search results. It’s a benefit to your website.
9) Social Integration
The hints and queues that Google gives us, it is important to include social signals into our websites. This means you have floating buttons on every one of your pages, but even a “Like” count button or a “Plus One” button.
10) Image Alt Attribute
Google spiders will not see the images as we do, it’s important to incorporate these alt attributes in to your website. If you are including a relevant keyword within that image, you can get some ranking benefits, in both Web search and image search.
11) Custom 404 Error Pages
If a person clicks a wrong URL, then it shows a custom 404 error page.
12) Meta Descriptions
Meta descriptions play an important role in Google’s ranking algorithm. It is more commonly believed that it is one of the opportunity to increase your Click-Through Rate in the organic search results.
13) XML Sitemap
XML sitemap helps you to get more pages indexed in Google search results.
14) Header Tags
We should include our keywords in H1 tags.
15) Robots.txt File
A robots.txt file (or even meta robots file on individual pages) can save a lot of agony in the future. Google first searches the Robots file before undertaking further into your website.
